At the Starting Circle…This is a featured page

Hashers have a tendency to collectively gather into a circle and begin socializing and most of the time drinking. Once the Mismanagement Committee and the Hare(s) arrive, its time to get things started.

Starting Circle1. Each Hasher should pay the hash fee to Hash Cash.

2. All hashers will be briefed by the Hare(s) on what to expect during the run this is refered to as “Chalk Talk”;
  • Distance,
  • Markings,
  • Live/or Dead trail
  • And the most important item - Number of beer stops.
3. Once all Hashers have been given the signal to start down the trail, you must first;

  • Search for the start of the trail (a splash of colored flour), shout - “ON!” – this informs other Hashers that you have found a possible trail.
  • Three consecutive blobs of colored flour indicates a correct trail. shout - “ON ON!” – to inform all Hashers that you are on the correct trail.
