Founded in 1994 the Blavahash has been commonly referred to as “a kindler gentiler hash”, due to its HashPhilosophy of “shorter runs and lots of beer-stops”. This hash is only one of many around the world following the original model started in Malaysia back in 1938. This worldwide disorganization of "drinking clubs with running problems" is located in almost every capital city in over 180 countries worldwide. The typical BlavaHash is set through the streets of Bratislava and occasionally through the fields and forest trails outside the city, with around 10 to 30 semi-organized hashers who meet on predetermined days to run/walk a trail marked with colored flour mix. Although we at the Blavahash take our drinking problem very seriously, meaning that it is highly frowned upon to not consume ice-cold delicious Slovak beer, we do understand that water and soda have their purpose and we always have some softies on hand for those, hopefully few, health conscientious hashers.
